THE RIDE FOR A CURE.
ONTARIO MOUNTED SPECIAL SERVICE UNIT
Official Mounted Unit of Breast Cancer Canada
The Ontario Mounted Special Service Unit's Canadian Cavalry is honored to perform Nationally with the title of, The Official Mounted Unit of Breast Cancer Canada. Our initiative will raise awareness and contribute to finding a cure, helping women both equestrians and non-equestrians alike become Breast Cancer Survivors.
"Horses represent power and prestige. OMSSU Officers and Horses present a dynamic presence that people gravitate towards wherever we are present."
About Canadian Cavalry
Canadian Cavalry is a division of OMSSU, performing a precision Drill Ride for events Nationally. A group of Certified Unit Officers and Horses volunteer their time to show beauty through choreographed, intricate movements to music creating a passionate, flowing dance.
Cancer touches and impacts everyone's lives. Some of our Officers are, and/or have mothers and sisters who are Breast Cancer Survivors. Clearly, no one is alone. The equestrian world is 77.4% women - These women are passionate about family, friends and horses.
The women of our Canadian Cavalry are tied by one bond, surviving Breast Cancer. We put an extraordinary amount of passion into our performance for all women across Canada and beyond. We are family!
OMSSU's Canadian Cavalry is excited to proudly preform as the Official Mounted Unit of Breast Cancer Canada to raise awareness for a cure and show support to those affected by the disease.
OMSSU Leads the Charge; The Ride for a Cure.
The OMSSU's Canadian Cavalry made their debut drill ride as the Official Mounted Unit of Breast Cancer Canada at the 2023 Horse Days Erin. The Unit wants to extend many thanks to Bridget Ryan and Staff for a wonderful event and the opportunity to perform.
